Call from someone saying a credit card was applied for in my name

My caller ID showed the call was from a US Bank branch. The woman said her name was Jessica Adams, employee #BO2008, and told me someone applied for a credit card in my name. She gave me the last four digits of my social security number. The call came from 417-588-4111 and Lebanon MO showed on the screen. She said the credit card request came from Ashville, NC. I didn't give her any information but asked to speak to a supervisor because her dialect was hard to understand.

I got transferred to Addie, employee #31005, and she wasn't much easier to understand either. I told her I would look into it and get back to her. She gave me 800-905-8585 to call back. I couldn't get through, just a busy signal the whole time, which didn't seem normal for a bank phone system.

I called my local US Bank and they confirmed it was a scam. I put an alert on Equifax for a year.
