Text claiming to be the VA asking for $50

I got a text the other day saying they were the VA and that I needed to pay $50 to update my contact information. That didn't make any sense to me. Since when does the VA charge money for something like that?

The number was (304) 873-9671 and when I looked it up it said it was from Cashion, TX. I didn't call or reply or anything. I just deleted it. It felt off right away. I haven't lost any money but I wanted to put this out there so other vets don't fall for it.
