Recruitment email that leads to a resume service pitch
Then it turned into them pushing me to pay for a resume doctoring service so I could get an interview. They use real companies as the lure to make it seem legit. I happened to know someone at the company they mentioned, and when I talked to them they told me the company had just closed its doors that week.
Maybe that's a coincidence but it also seems like a smart way to target people, pick a company that's hard to get ahold of and hasn't announced anything publicly yet. I didn't pay anything but I wanted to put this out there.
