Bought stickers and they added a membership I never signed up for

I bought some stickers from this veterans community site for $25.58. They seemed legit, like a real veterans group. But then they added a membership I never signed up for. It showed $0 at first so I didn't think anything of it, then later they tried to bill me for it.

I tried to cancel the subscription. Now I'm just waiting to see if the cancellation actually goes through or if they'll try to charge me anyway.
