Job offer on Indeed asked for my social security number
I already gave them my social security number and home address before I got suspicious. I did some digging and found out it's a scam connected to the email they used, [email protected]. They also use the Teams app to talk to people, and they have another email hr@winter-environmental. I feel stupid for giving that info but I wanted to warn others.
Job on Indeed turned out to be fake hiring manager
So I emailed them and they asked me to fill out some candidate evaluation thing. Something felt off so I googled it and yeah, it's a scam. That person doesn't actually work for Winter Environmental at all. Good thing I checked before giving them any info.
