Timeshare call ended up with a credit card I didn't ask for

I got a call about a timeshare thing. I kept telling them no, I wasn't interested in the timeshare itself. But then they asked if they could run my credit, and I asked what I was signing. They said it was just to see how much things would cost.

Next thing I know, they used my social security number to open a rewards program credit card. They never clearly explained that's what they were doing. I even tried to clarify what I was agreeing to during the call and they just didn't mention it. It didn't make sense to me. The phone number was 1(914) 885-5466 and they listed an address at 11 Grand Central East in New York.
