Rental listing on Zillow with a fake landlord
The email was [email protected] and the phone number was (951) 241-1975. The address they gave was 3535 S Flemington Dr, West Covina, CA 91792. After I paid, things got quiet and it stopped making sense.
I just want to warn others about this listing.
Fake Zillow listing for a house that was not for rent
We actually toured the place and saw stickers on the windows saying this unit is not for rent, if you're here it's a scam. The scammer told us they were his and gave us the code to get in. We knew for sure it was a scam when he tried again to get payment info over the phone.
We went straight to the police. Couldn't even report it to Zillow because their website wasn't working.
