Job offer for assistant turned into check and gift card requests

I was looking online for a job I could do and saw an offer to be an assistant, so I applied. Went through three rounds of interviews and got hired. I filled out the paperwork and sent it in.

Then they said they would send me a check for onboarding. I got the check and cashed it. After that they told me to go to the bank, get a cashier's check, and send it to the vendor. I was wary about it but I did it. Then they wanted me to buy Bitcoin so I'd have fluid money when talking to investors. I didn't do that because that's weird. Then they told me to go to CVS and get Apple gift cards. I didn't do that either. They checked what they gave me and took it back, and all of this was happening while I was still in contact with them at (615) 960-5268 and [email protected]. I lost $4,200.
