Text about a loan my father never applied for

I got this text from 877-500-0414 saying my father needed to call for information so his loan could be approved. The thing is my father hasn't taken out any loans. They gave me this number to call back 814-377-7849.

I called it just to see what they'd say and I knew right away it was a scam so I hung up. Didn't lose any money but it's still annoying getting these messages about stuff that isn't even real.
