They kept charging me for SAT prep my kid never needed

I got a call saying my daughter’s school asked them to reach out to me because of her SAT scores. They said I needed to buy prep exams and it would be a one time charge. That was six months ago.

They’ve been hitting my card for $79.00 every month since then. I finally called the school—my daughter already graduated—and they told me this is a common scam and they never asked anyone to contact me. So now I’m out over $1,000 for nothing.
