Offered a remote job and now they have my driver's license

I got a message on LinkedIn about a remote job making $40 an hour. It seemed legit at first. They said they needed me to log into my Verizon account so they could buy two iPads and have them sent to my house.

They sent me a UPS label for next day air and told me to mail the iPads back so they could load them with work stuff and send them back to me. I sent them off and never got them back. They also sent me a check to deposit but my bank flagged it as fake. They tried to get a third iPad too but couldn't pay for it. They promised to put a credit card on file for my Verizon bill but that was a lie too. I have to approve anyone getting into my account now. They have a copy of my Louisiana driver's license and I filled out a direct deposit form and a W2 for them.
