Misspelled name on ticket led me to call fake United number

I had a misspelled name on my airline ticket so I looked up the customer service number for United. AI overview gave me this number (800) 259-1705 so I called it. The person on the phone said they were United customer service and told me I needed to pay a $350 fee to reissue my ticket because it was long after I booked it.

I paid the $350. Then later I found out it wasn't United at all. The website is airfarenc.com and the email is [email protected]. I just feel stupid for trusting that number.
