Got a text about a puppy transport asking for $500

I got a text from someone saying they were from Alabama Pet Transport. They were supposed to be transporting a puppy for me. Then they asked me for $500 for what they called a refundable crate charge.

The whole thing felt off. They gave a phone number, (336) 539-4844, and an email, [email protected], with an address just listed as AL, USA. I didn't send any money, but it was set up like an online purchase scam. Nothing about it made sense for a real transport company.
