Phone call saying wage garnishment over old debt

Some guy named Alex Cruz called me and said he was going to send court papers to garnish my wages. He wanted 500.00 today to settle a 2000.00 debt from 2010 from a check cashing place. I didnt owe this, so I told them to send the paperwork. Nothing ever came. Please do not give them any money. The number they called from was (419) 379-7479.
