Pop-up message led to my mother wiring $15,000

My 88 year old mother Maureen was on her computer trying to get into her bank account and a message popped up on the screen. A guy called Alex who said he was from Microsoft tech support called her. He convinced her to wire $15000 so he could "catch the scammer".

I told the bank to block any more transactions but the damage was already done. This guy has been calling all morning over and over. He identified himself as Alex from Microsoft tech support. My mother thought she was helping catch someone.
