Call pretending to be Amazon fraud alert had my dad buying gift cards at Lowes
They had him download an app called Any Desk. Then they convinced him to share his bank account numbers and his main credit card. After that they told him to drive to Lowes and buy 5 gift cards for $1000 each. They even told him what to say to the cashier if they asked questions or refused to sell.
My mom called me at that point. I told my dad to hang up. I spent hours blocking and closing accounts because there were already thousands of dollars in pending fraudulent transactions trying to go through.
