Text about remote job paying up to $600 a day

Got a text from someone saying they were from Amazon's remote recruitment team. The message said they were hiring for a job to help Amazon retailers update product content and connect with buyers. Sounded decent at first.

They said it was only 60-90 minutes a day, 4 days a week. And the pay was supposed to be $100-$600 daily. That seemed high but I figured maybe it was real. They also mentioned 15-20 days of vacation which honestly felt like a lot for a part time thing.

The number that texted me was (985) 403-1536 and they also had some other number with a +63 country code that was listed as a website. I didn't send any money or anything but it just felt off. The whole thing didn't make sense the more I thought about it.

Phone call claiming I bought a MacBook I never ordered

I got a call today from 401-889-0372. The person said they were from Amazon and calling about a $1499 Apple MacBook Pro payment on my account. They said if I didn't authorize it to press 1 to speak to customer service. I thought my account was really hacked so I called back.

Someone answered saying they were fraud department officer Edward something. Sounded real. They tried to get info out of me. They said the laptop was sent to 49 Arcadia Ct. Albany Ny 12205. I looked that address up and saw it was connected to the scam. Do not tell them anything.

Fake Amazon job offer text with no real company info

I got a text message saying it was from Amazon Talent Acquisition. They said my background was impressive and they had a remote job for me. It said I only had to work 1-2 hours a day and could make $200 to $600. Sounded too good to be true.

The text told me to send "Details" to 757-418-2547. I didn't reply because something felt off. No real company name on the message, just that number and an email [email protected]. I looked it up and it's a scam.

I'm just putting this out there so nobody else falls for it. They wanted you to be at least 25 years old too, which seemed weird.
