Got a call about back taxes from someone named Nancy.
I never heard of them. I don't have any back taxes I know about. The whole thing felt off. It was just a random call out of nowhere.
Got a weird voicemail about taxes from someone named Nancy
I don't know who this is. I never heard of them. The whole thing felt off, so I didn't call back. I just wanted to put this out there in case someone else gets the same message.
Tricked into paying $500 for tax service I didn't want
I asked her why she needed all that, and she just said she was overriding the PIN. I thought I could then go back to my Free Tax New York form and bypass the pin. At the end, I e-signed everything without reading that she charged me almost $500 to do my taxes, which I never wanted done. She tricked me into the whole thing.
Now I'm only getting back $200 from Federal, when it was supposed to be over $900 through Free Tax New York. I'm extremely upset. I worked hard for that money and I needed it. That company tricks people and takes money for services they didn't ask for.

She left a number, 707-926-8542, and said to call to be removed from something. The whole thing felt off. I never got any notice from them before this. The voicemail said to call back the number on my caller ID and press 8, but I didn't recognize that number either. I didn't call them back.
