Rental listing on realtor.com turned out to be a house with people already living in it

I was on realtor.com and apartments.com looking for a place for me and my daughters in Reading Pennsylvania. I found this house that I had seen for sale before and now it was listed for rent. So I went through the channels on realtor.com and waited for a reply.

They got back to me and I sent in a pre-screener through some app I used before for renting. They said I needed to add more info so I did that and did another application. Then they started asking what kind of cash app I use to send them $75 for an application fee.

That’s when I figured something was off. I went to check the property since it’s close to where I live and there were people already living there. Now I’m worried they have all my info from the application. I’m pretty nervous about it.
