Letter threatening jail time if I didn’t pay for filing service
I actually had my check in the envelope, stamped and ready to mail. Then I stopped and thought about it. Something felt off. No company name I recognized and the threat of jail just seemed over the top.
I didn’t send the check. I’m pretty sure it was a fake check or money order scam trying to get me to pay. I didn’t lose any money but I came close.
