Letter pretending to be a late notice for my LLC renewal
The whole thing is a scam though. They want you to think its a late notice so you panic and pay them $195 to handle it. But you can file the same thing yourself for like $50 a year. They just take your money and file it for you and keep the rest.
I didn't lose any money because I looked into it first but I bet a lot of people fall for this. Their website is Annualregistration.org. Just dont send them anything.
Final notice for SCC registration fee that was not real
The address on it was 701 E Franklin St, Ste 105-1499, Richmond, VA 23219. They wanted $145 for something that actually costs $50 to do yourself. I looked closer and saw small print saying "Fast Filing Services is not a government agency" but that's buried in there.
There's no reason for them to send something like this. It's just a solicitation dressed up like a bill. I didn't lose any money because I caught it, but it felt shady.
