Paid for Pokemon cards on Facebook, got a fake tracking number and a demand for more money.
I found this vendor on Facebook Marketplace selling sealed Pokemon products. We agreed on a price and I sent the payment through Chime. It was $190 total.
Right after I paid, they sent me a tracking number from a company called Apexxcargo. The next day, I got an email saying my package needed a refundable delivery insurance fee of $150. The email said if I didn't pay it, delivery wouldn't happen and my items would be put on hold.
I refused to pay that, of course. The whole thing feels like a scam. The website was apexxcargo.site and the contact email was [email protected]. The tracking number was fake and I never got the items I paid for.
