Text about a $592 Apple Pay charge I never made

I got this text message about some suspicious Apple Pay activity. It said there was a transaction for $592.07 from Richmond, VA on my account. Said the device was unrecognized and they flagged it.

It gave me a transaction ID and asked me to confirm if I made the charge. Then it said if I didn't authorize it to call Apple Support at 888-984-0058 right away. Said verification would be done in 24 hours.

I don't even use Apple Pay like that. Something felt off about the whole thing. The email they gave was [email protected] which doesn't sound like Apple at all. And the phone number 888-984-0059 doesn't match the one in the message either.
