Passport renewal website took my info and asked for payment

I was trying to renew my passport and ended up on apply.ivs.us. It looked legit enough at first, I guess. I put in all my information and got to the payment screen. That’s when I stopped because something felt off. It just didn’t seem right.

I didn't end up paying anything, thank goodness. But I'm still worried because I already gave them my personal details before I realized it wasn't the real government site. It's a phishing thing. I got a call from (208) 470-8100 around the same time, which I think is connected to them. I just want people to know about this.

Renewed my passport on a site that wasn't the government

I was trying to renew my passport online and I guess I didn't look close enough. I ended up on this site Apply.ivs.us and thought it was the real government page. I put in my passport number, my hair and eye color, and even my Social Security number.

I did catch it before they took the fee, I called my credit card and canceled that part. But now I'm just sitting here wondering where all my information went. I gave them everything. I don't know what they're doing with it now.
