Text message about a balance that didn’t match what Apria said I owed
Then he put me on hold. That’s when it hit me that something felt off. I hung up right away and called Apria’s billing department. They told me I owed a lower amount, not what the text said. Apria said the text was a phishing scam and they already had my payment info on file anyway. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.
Text about a balance due that I don’t owe
So I checked my Apria account online and there’s no outstanding balance. I googled the number that texted me and it came up on Ecautious.com as a scam.
I’ve gotten texts from this number before but never realized it was a scam. I don’t think I ever paid them, but it did line up with when I actually owed money to Apria. At least if I’m remembering right. I haven’t paid them.
Text about a bill that doesn’t match what I owe
I use epay for Apria bills and the amount doesn't match any of my recent bills. It was $95.44 and I don't owe that. I got similar texts 7 months ago and 10 months ago too. The phone number on the text was (855) 970-8980. I didn't lose any money but it's annoying getting these.
