Job offer on Indeed turned out to be a fake

I saw a job on Indeed and applied for it. Did the pre-screening and everything. Then they sent me an offer letter but something about it just felt off.

So I looked up the company online and found the real President's name on their official website. I called him and he told me the offer was a scam. The person emailing me was using [email protected] and the address they gave was in Cary, NC. I didn't lose any money but I almost did.
