Got a weird email about a job interview I never applied for

I got this email out of the blue from someone named [email protected]. It says it's from the HR Department at Ascot Consulting Engineers. They're inviting me to connect with a Carolyn on Zoom to talk about an Office Assistant or Data Entry position.

I never applied for a job with Ascot Consulting Engineers. I don't even know who they are. The whole thing felt off. They wanted to set up a meeting the same day, between 11 am and 6 pm. The email was way too formal and friendly for a random job offer.

It just didn't make any sense. Why would a company's HR department contact me for a job I didn't apply for? The email address it came from doesn't even match the company name they mentioned. Something about it is just not right.
