Getting texts asking for my birthday and to sign up on a broken link

I keep getting these texts. They're asking me for my birthdate and telling me to sign up using a link they provide. The link doesn't even work, it just goes nowhere. I looked it up and someone else already reported this as a scam. The texts are coming from a phone number with a (213) area code. I never signed up for anything from them. It just feels off getting messages like this out of the blue asking for personal information.
