Paid for a kitten and kept getting asked for more money

I was trying to buy a kitten from a breeder for $300. She said she would ship it to me. Then she said the carrier, Atlas Logistics, needed a special transport and asked for $200 more. The next day it was another $200 for the carrier but they said I'd get it all back.

I called the police and made a report. Then they asked for $300 more for stamps. After that, they wanted $500 more for a compensation refund. I went back to the police and made another report. I gave all the card information to PayPal too. On Tuesday I met with a detective and showed him all the conversations with the logistics company and the breeder.

I just want my money back and the kitten. The breeder's email is [email protected] and the address given was 636 Griswold street, Glastonbury, CT. I lost $1000.
