Got a text about a loan approval I never asked for
I got a text from someone named Stephanie saying she's with ATO. She said she was following up about my personal loan request and trying to connect me with a loan officer about my approval. The text said to text END to opt out, or otherwise she asked if she could call me now. She also said if the loan is no longer needed, to let her know.
The thing is, I never requested a personal loan from ATO or anyone. I don't know how they got my name or my number. It felt off to get a message about an approval for something I didn't apply for. The number they texted from is (877) 455-8569. I didn't reply or lose any money, but I don't like getting these unsolicited messages.

I just got a text from 877-455-8569. It said, "This is Mia with ATO Following up about your personal loan request."
I haven't made any request for any personal loans. I never contacted this company. The text came out of nowhere. It said the address is in Hollywood, Florida. It feels off to get a message like this about something I didn't do.
