Got an email saying I owe a loan I never took out

I got this email saying I owe a loan for $2854. They said I had to pay $997.45 right away to settle it. They said if I didn't pay immediately, they would sue me and garnish my wages and there would be court fees and attorney fees.

The thing is, I never had a loan with the company they say I owe the money to. I don't owe them anything. The email came from [email protected]. They wanted me to send the money right then.
