Facebook rental ad wanted money before I could see the place

Someone posted a property for rent on Facebook. They wanted me to send money upfront before even letting me see it. That felt off right away.

I found a link online that described the exact same scam they were trying to pull on us. No money lost but still a waste of time. The email they used was [email protected] and the phone number was (716) 382-9553. Address they gave was 208 edwards dr., Normal, IL.
