Paid a deposit for deck painting and he never showed up

We found this guy Austin Philip McCulloughs - Painting Pros on Facebook. He came by to give a quote for painting our outside decks in Brigantine, NJ 08203. He said $3,500 to paint 3 decks plus the foundation of the house.

We agreed on June 6th. Work was supposed to start June 23rd and be done by June 25th. He never showed up on the 23rd. I tried calling him and his associate Mary Duffy, sent emails, even letters. Nothing. He just didn't do the work.

We paid a $1,750 deposit. Now we just want our money back.
