Ordered a detailed dress, got a cheap printed one instead

I saw a dress on Averyandmaren.com that was supposed to be beautifully embellished with detailed needlework. The listing said it was originally over a hundred dollars but on sale for about fifty dollars. I ordered it.

What showed up was just a basic knit dress. The flowers weren't embroidered or embellished at all, they were just printed flat on the fabric. It's nothing like what was shown. This is completely false advertising. I paid fifty dollars for this.

Ordered a dress online and got a cheap counterfeit instead

I'm writing because my mom ordered what looked like a beautiful dress from averyandmaren.com. She paid $35 for it. What showed up was a crappy counterfeit, just an ugly dress that wasn't anything like the picture. It was a complete waste of money. We tried to deal with it but there's no real way to contact them, no reply, nothing. The whole thing just feels like a scam.

Ordered dresses from Instagram ad, product was horrible and they won't refund

I saw this website averyandmaren.com all over Instagram and Facebook ads. I ordered two dresses. When the first one came, it was horrible. Nothing like the pictures at all. I emailed them right away to say I wanted to return that one and the second one, since it was the same.

They emailed back saying I couldn't return anything. They said they could give me 20% back instead, but they never did. Or that I could buy something else, which makes no sense. I tried to open a dispute with American Express, which is what I used, but they couldn't even start one. I guess because this isn't a real business.

The company is in China. It's a total scam. I was stupid for not checking reviews first.
