Phone call saying my wife applied for credit out of nowhere

I got a call from (805) 222-6258 and the person on the line said my wife had applied for new credit. They wanted to talk to her specifically. I looked up the number and it’s registered under Bandwidth.com which is some kind of phone company.

I never asked for this call and my wife didn’t apply for anything. It felt strange. They didn’t leave a message or anything just asked for her. I don’t know what they wanted but it didn’t seem right.
