Phone call claiming to be Bank of America about a charge I didn't make

A man called my husband's phone and I answered. He said "Is this Ms. (my name)?" and I said yes. Then he said "This is John with Bank of America, and I had a charge on your account for $259.00, do you approve this?" I said no and he kept saying "Can you hear me, can you hear me" over and over. I hung up.

He called back a few minutes later and said he was John from Bank of America again. I told him if he was really from Bank of America why was he calling from a Salt Lake City, Utah number and why did it show as potential spam on the caller ID. He just hung up.
