Got a fake Best Buy renewal email, then spam calls

I got an email telling me to renew a Best Buy membership. I called the number they gave, (856) 200-8245, and it felt off right away. It didn't have the normal company greeting or menu options. I just hung up.

I trashed the email and blocked the number. Then I started getting calls from that same number, but I didn't answer. The weird thing is, the original email I got just disappeared from my inbox. Later, my phone flagged the number as potential spam. The whole thing was just a phishing attempt.
