Beyond Finance told me my debt was settled, now I'm being sued for $16,000 more

I signed up with Beyond Finance for debt consolidation and enrolled three creditors. Back in October of 2025, they contacted me with a resolution offer for my American Express account. It was for around $14,000 and I accepted it. I even increased the amount they were taking from my checking account to cover this payment.

Then in March of this year, I got another call from Beyond Finance. They had a new resolution offer for that same American Express account. I was confused because they told me it was resolved back in October. That's when they said the first offer was rejected because of a problem with the contract. They never contacted me to tell me that happened. This whole time I thought I was paying off that debt.

Now the creditor is suing me. The amount I owe has gone up by $16,000 because of this.
