Got a threatening call about a debt I don't owe

I got a call from BFO Media Services. The person said I owed money and threatened collections. When I asked for proof of a contract, they just played back an auto recording. It was my voice saying "yes," but it was in the exact same tone and way.

I think they got the recording from a previous call. I got one before this that didn't sound right. They just asked me to confirm my address and email. That must be how they did it. The whole thing feels like a setup. They have a website and an email, [email protected], but there's no real proof I owe anything.

Got a call and email from a fake media company trying to scam me

I got contacted by someone saying they were from a real media company, but it was a scam. It was from bfomediaservices.com. They emailed me from [email protected] and called from (888) 271-0739. They said their address was 116 Albert Street Suite 300, Ottawa, ON K1P 5G3, CAN. They were trying to get me to pay for advertising services that don't even exist. I didn't send any money, so I didn't lose anything. They're just impersonating real businesses to trick people.
