Told my girlfriend she won a $1500 prize for photos, then took a $200 deposit

My girlfriend got a message saying she won a prize worth $1,500 for a photo session at this photography place. They said she needed to put down a $200 deposit to book a time and that it was refundable.

What they didn't say was that the deposit was only refundable if you spent another $2,000 on top of the so-called $1,500 discount. They completely misled us. I looked it up later and found reviews online from other people who got caught in the same trap.

It's really wrong. They're doing this to pregnant women too, with their maternity photo offers.
