Got a job offer from a company I never even spoke to

I applied for a Data Entry Specialist job with Browning Manor Finance Company LP. They just sent a pre-screen form as the interview, so I filled that out. Then on February 20, 2026, I got an email saying they were officially offering me employment. That was really weird because I never spoke to a single person the whole time.

They sent a W-4 and a Direct Deposit Form and told me to fill them out and send proof of a valid ID. It felt very suspicious to send all that personal information over email. I went back to look them up on Handshake and saw they were marked as an inactive employer. I found similar reports about this company, and it looks like this scam is still going on.
