Got a threatening text about court documents for someone else
The message said it was from a Bruce Eckford. It claimed this person was scheduled to be served court documents, either at work or home. It said to press one for an operator or call 650-292-2407 to place a stop action. It felt like a threatening scam text sent to the wrong number.
Got a voicemail about being served court papers, never heard of this
He said it was my official notification that I've been placed on his schedule to be served court documents. He said I'd be served at my work or my home. It was for someone else, the message said it was intended for a different name.
I don't have any debt with anyone. I've never heard of this Bruce Eckford. Getting a message like that out of the blue is really unsettling.
