Applied for a job on Indeed and now I'm out $3,500

I saw this job on Indeed and applied. They messaged me and told me to send my resume to a different email. Then instead of an interview I got a questionnaire. I missed the deadline so they asked me to do it again. They sent an offer letter and said I had to sign and return it by end of day.

Next day they emailed me a check for $6,328 and told me to deposit it right away for tech equipment for the remote job. Today I spent over two hours texting with them going through all these steps to send money to some "vendor" they kept naming. I finally gave up and then they started harassing me and blaming me for doubting them.

I lost $3,500 from this. Their website is cwatkinsinc.com and their address is 23 Griswold Ct, Sterling, VA 20165. The email was from [email protected].
