Letter about California business certificate with no official seal

I started a business in California and less than a week later I got this letter in the mail. It looked like it was from some government office. It said I had "one step left in order to attain your elective California Certificate of Status."

The letter had a website on it, www.CaDivision.org, and a phone number (844) 607-4242. Also an address on S Land Park Drive in Sacramento. But something felt off about it. It didn't have any real official seals or letterhead from the state.

I didn't lose any money because I didn't call them or go to the site. But it was confusing. I just started the business and was already getting mail that looked official but wasn't. No company name on the letter itself that I could see, just that website and number.

Got a fake bill letter after starting my LLC

I just started an LLC and got this letter in the mail. It was made to look like a late bill from a California agency, which really got my attention.

When I read it closer, I saw it's actually from some company in Florida. The address they gave is 5960 L Land Park Drive, Sacramento, CA 95822. They're trying to sell me a service that is completely unnecessary. Their website is www.cadivision.org and a phone number (844) 607-4242.

The whole thing feels deceptive. It's designed to trick you into thinking it's official.
