Paid $12,900 for a Chevelle SS that never showed up

I found a 1970 Chevelle SS on a website called calscollectibles.com. It looked legit, like they were selling classic cars out of Idaho. The address they gave was 475 S Broadway St in Blackfoot, ID. I talked to someone and they said I could put a down payment of $12,900 and they'd ship the car.

So I wired the money to Eastern Bank in Massachusetts like they told me. They said the car would be delivered late Wednesday 06/10/2026 or early Thursday at 8 AM. I waited and waited. By 11:30 AM nothing showed up. I called them for an ETA and nobody ever answered or called me back.

I found out later that Cal's Collectibles is a real company but this website has nothing to do with them. Someone just made a fake site using their name. Their phone number was (986) 231-8314 and email was [email protected]. I lost 12,900 dollars.
