Printer scanner stopped working after fake support call

I bought a Cannon printer and the scanner part just stopped working. So I went to the Cannon website to get help and I thought I was talking to them. They gave me a number to call.

I called and some people told me I needed to pay for some software or a service to fix it. I ended up paying $790.00. And nothing worked. The scanner still didn't work and I couldn't get my money back.

I don't even know the real company name. These people just said they were from Cannon support. They are in Georgia, USA somewhere. I feel stupid for falling for it.
