Call from someone saying they were Capital One Fraud about my license

I got a call from a person saying they were from Capital One Fraud. They wanted a picture of my driver’s license front and back. Then they had me give them a code that was sent to me. After that they put me on hold for about twenty minutes. Then they said they would have to call me back because they had to reboot their system.

This is the second time this same person has called asking for the same thing as they did today. Both times they put me on hold for several times for a long time. The number they called from is (551) 272-5244.

Text asking about a purchase I didn’t make in Atlanta

Got a text from Capital One asking if we just spent $1400 in Atlanta Georgia. I said no. Then they tried to call back I guess but we don’t answer numbers we don’t know because of all the scam calls.

Then I got another text asking me to reply Y so they could call back. I said Y unfortunately. They never called back. So we called Capital One ourselves to check if both accounts had been used. They said no.

Mail about a Capital One card with someone else’s name on it

I got a letter from Capital One but it had a name on it that is not my name. The address was right but the name was totally wrong. It was some kind of credit card offer or notice I guess.

There was no money lost or anything but it felt strange. I don’t know why they would send something with the wrong name to my house. The letter had a UT address on it and a phone number (800) 000-0000. I just wanted to say something about it.

Phone call saying I owe Capital One $5000 and they are taking me to court

Somebody called me saying I owe Capital One $5000 and they are taking me to court. I call the litigation office here in El Paso and they told me they own a call from one number. When I try to put him on a 2 way with the litigation office he didn't want to talk.

So you all be careful out there. Because if somebody's going to take you to court they're going to send you a paperwork or serve you. They don't descend your paperwork they're going to send they're going to serve you. So don't fall for this please. And this is from 10 years ago and everyone knows if on credit it falls off after years.

Someone pretending to be Capital One took my money and changed my address

I got a call from someone saying they were from Capital One bank. They told me my card was hacked and they were going to send new ones. Then they took my money out of my bank. I paid them off. They changed my address to have all the new cards sent to them, they did that three times. And they locked me out of my emails. The number they used was 1(888) 258-6211.

Got a call pretending to be from Capital One about a credit card

I got a call from someone saying they were from Capital One. The number was (850) 329-0827. They said they needed me to verify an application for a $5,000 credit card. I never applied for any card. It felt off right away, so I didn't give them any information. They were just trying to get my details, I'm sure of it. It was an imposter.

Getting calls and texts pretending to be Capital One to verify my name.

I keep getting these calls and texts. They're saying they're from Capital One and they need to verify my name. The number is (805) 946-7367.

It's not right. I didn't ask for this. It feels like they're just trying to get my information. I'm not falling for it, but it's annoying and it shouldn't be happening.

Got a weird call about a Capital One application I never made

I got this voicemail from someone saying she's Catherine from the Capital One fraud account specialist team. The message was for a "Mr. Patterson." She said they're calling to verify a recent application and to call back as soon as possible.

The number she gave was (855) 522-7663, and she said their hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM. She left an application ID number, too: 200-004-875-9. She said to refer to that when calling back.

I never applied for anything with Capital One. The whole thing felt off, so I didn't call. It just seems like a phishing attempt.
