Applied for a loan and then they asked for upfront fees

I got an email from someone saying they were from CashFast Loans. They used my real name and said my loan application was approved. I did apply for a loan online a few weeks ago so I thought it was real.

Then they said I needed to pay a processing fee first before they could send the money. I told them I wasn't paying anything upfront and they kept pushing. They said it was just a small fee to verify my bank account. I hung up.

Now I'm worried because they had my real name and some of my info. I don't know if this is the same company I applied with or someone else using their name. I didn't lose any money but it felt wrong.
