Got a weird call about a credit card I never applied for

I got this message on my phone. It said it was for me, and that it was Tyson calling from Chase Fraud Prevention. The message said they were calling to verify a credit card application.

They left a number to call back, 1-888-204-8630. They said they're open every day and to have a reference number ready. The whole thing felt off. I never applied for a credit card with Chase. I don't even have an account with them. It just didn't make any sense to get a call like that out of the blue.

Got a weird call about my Amazon Chase card application

I applied online for an Amazon Chase credit card. The very next day, I got a phone message. The person said she was Sisha from Chase Fraud Prevention. She had my full name, even my middle initial. She told me to call her back at 1-888-204-8630 and gave me a 12-digit reference number.

It felt off. I looked up the number she gave me and it didn't seem right. I never called it back. I'm just reporting this because it was right after I applied for the card and they had my details.
