Booked flights and then got a call about extra high charges

I booked flights to Florida through cheapflights.com. The total was $157.56. After I paid, I got a call from them. The person on the phone said there would be high charges for carry-on bags and personal items. They didn't mention any of that when I was booking. It just feels like a trick to get more money after you think you've paid the full price. The call came from (832) 924-3343.
